both kings stamped JAQUES LONDON in red on the rim of the bases, the king just under 4 ½ inches (11.2cm) high, the pawn 5.5cm high, in a mahogany box with hinged lid and green label: THE STAUNTON CHESS-MEN...Jaques & Son, London, 22.8cm wide.
