One of my favourite antique chess patterns. The “Edinburgh” or “Northern” Upright features tall, graceful playing pieces in a Neo-Classical style.
This elegant set has a 4 inch king and a nice weight making it eminently suitable for play, as well as looking stylish set out on the appropriate antique board. Comes in a decent antique rosewood box from the same period.
