A magnicifent Anglo-Indian games compendium from Vizagapatam, dating from the first half of the 19th century. The board is made from ivory and is decorated with penwork with a floral border featuring leaves and foliate decoration. The interior is for backgammon and is inlaid in sandalwood with further ivory and penwork decorated inlay. With the original matching Vizagapatam ivory chess set and turned and carved counters. A rare find.
