Super-stylish and unusual American Mah Jong set from the 1920’s. Bears the paper retail label of Kaufmann & Baer, the well-known Pittsburgh department store. The sliding panel on the front shows a Chinese magician or mandarin. The ‘ivorine’ and black ‘lacquer’ tiles give off a satisfying ‘clack’ during play. Recommended.
