An unusual cast-metal antique chess set from Germany. It features Napoleon on one side, with Frederick the Great on the other. Chess sets were a speciality of German metal foundries. A nice feature is that the pawns represent the French Old Guard and Prussian Grenadiers. The set comes with a period board/box.
