An incredibly pretty and decorative small Chinese vase with floral gilt decoration against a luminous "black mirror" ground. Although the vase bears Kangxi marks on the underside of the base, I think it more likely to have been made at the end of the nineteenth century. I can imagine this in Chanel's Parisian apartment. Rather chic.
