Interesting early 19th century Chinese Export chess set with a Mackett Beeson provenance. Mackett Beeson was a Mayfair based dealer in antique sets during the inter-war period. The set comes with a typed letter on Mackett Beeson's crested writing paper and a facsimile of Mackett Beeson's original description of the chess set (annontated by an owner at a later date).
