Goniatites are extinct squid- or octopus- like sea creatures which existed during the Devonian period. This is a lovely fossilised example- almost like a modern sculpture with its soft greys, creams and whites, and showing the characteristic zig-zag pattern on one side of the "shell". Definitely a talking point. 380-400 million years old.
