Lovely leather chess board dating from the last quarter of the 19th century . Similar to boards sold by Jaques. The green and cream colours are unusual and make this board especially appealing. Athough the board can certainly be used in its current state, the original cloth hinge is a bit loose (but intact) and would benefit attention from a bookbinder.
