Rare and collectable wargame based on the ancient game of Fox & Geese. Seige games (Belangerungspiel) were popular in the 19th century. C. G Lewin includes a near identical version of the New Military Game of German Tactics in his excellent book on antique wargames, dating it quite possibly to the ‘Napoleonic Period’. During the 19th century the Prussian army led the way in developing new tactics.
