Stylish shabby chic Edwardian games board. Chess outside, backgammon inside. It folds up to store away on the bookshelf- the spine looks like an antiquarian book. F. H. Ayres were well known manufacturers of toys and games (their factory was situated at 111 Aldgate, just to the East of the City of London) and were especially famous for their rocking horses.
