The Hamburg American Clock Company or Hamburg Amerikanische Uhrenfabrik, was founded in 1883 and traded under that name until 1930 when acquired by the Junghans Co. Parts were shipped to England and re-assembled by a Mr William E. Tanner of Redhill, Surrey.
