He is well known to many collectors as a leading specialist in chess sets, backgammon boards and antique games, including Jaques Staunton, mahjong and gambling antiques; and has been selling antique chess sets since 1994. As old chess sets and antique games become increasingly scarce, Luke aims to source antique sets and boards of a good quality, and in the best possible condition he can find them, often with history and provenance.
