The sarcophagus is in a fine to near fine condition. There are some very minor scuff marks to the leather and the green label has some wear and small loss to the edges (photographs available on request). The blue plush lining to the interior is excellent.

The chess set has a pink/red cochineal stain and is in a "near excellent" condition. Both kings are stamped "Jaques London' on the underside of the bases. The ivory has some natural flaws to the underside of the bases, and a white rook has a hairline age crack to the underside of the base. There's also a fine near invisible "hairline" age crack to the red king base. The white undyed side has a nice shiny patina. A lovely thing.
