Usual minor nicks and scuffs as expected with age . Crosses on Kings probably repaired/restored? Baizes good. Two pawn baizes slightly brighter green colour- a minute difference, but presumably replaced baizes. Pawns look identical to the rest of the set.

Boxwood Side:

Attractive shiny patina. Chip to edge of knight ear (photo attached), a bit of surface dirt/dust, a few natural flaws to the wood, neat repair to one bishop finial, baizes good.

Ebony Side:

Minor hairline cracks to to queen, knight, rook, bishops, pawns.

Good. Original antique box to set. Nicely detailed late 19th century metal handles. Usual age scuffs and nicks. Green baize lining good.
