Cartonpierre Box:

Near excellent. Intact. No loss to papier mache figures. Lid is detached. Red label on reverse a bit faded and stained. Red paper backing slightly faded. Minor hairline cracks to the lid and small loss to lid edge.

Red Side:

Slight rubbing to edges. White king stamped JAQUES LONDON on underside of base.

White Side:

Neat repair to collar of white pawn. One knight slightly browned. Ball on one pawn re-stuck on.
