White Side:
Lovely rich 'toffee' patina, some minor dents, scuffs and scratches, surface dirt, chip to queen crown and queen crown finial missing, one pawn, one rook and one knight missing.
Ebonised Side:
Minor chips and scuffs, as before. Finial missing off king, one knight, two rooks missing.
Five of the white chessmen have '1855' inscribed in pencil on the underside of the bases.
