A weighted boxwood and ebony chess set by J. Jaques & Son Ltd, circa 1915

both kings stamped JAQUES LONDON on the rim of the bases (the black stamp indistinct), the king 3  ½ inches (8.9cm) high, the pawn 1 ⅞ inches (4.8cm) high, in a mahogany box with a green label: J. JAQUES & SON LTD, LONDON, ENGLAND, the box 20 cm wide.
