Mahogany & Ebony Chess Board, circa 1830
A mahogany and boxwood chess board/box, circa 1830, the top inlaid with alternate chess squares in ebony and boxwood, over a single drawer with turned ivory handle flanked by lozenge shaped inlay in mahogany and boxwood, raised on turned ivory bun feet, the underside in pine, 30cm wide, 6.5cm high, each chess square 3.2cm wide.
