the exterior for chess, the interior for backgammon, coromandel inlaid with ivory and ebony and inlaid star motifs inlaid with ivory and ebony, together with a set of 30 turned wooden backgammon counters (15 in boxwood and 15 in coromandel), a pair of turned wooden shakers and three period bone die

Generally “Very Good”. Some minor surface scuffs scratches to the chess exterior, a few minor hairline cracks, neat period repair to one of the chess squares. Interior clean and intact. Nice patina.

15 lighter coloured boxwood counters (three are turned replacements). 15 darker coloured turned coromandel counters. 


One shaker with cracks and several pieced holes.
