An Antique Anglo-Indian Backgammon Counter Set, circa 1880

fifteen turned ivory counters left natural, and fifteen turned ivory counters stained red (30 in all), in a fine Anglo-Indian sandalwood box with a sliding lid, elaborately carved with leaves, flowers and foliate decoration [30], together with two 19th century ivory shakers, stained red and left natural [2]

Each counter: 3cm in diameter

Box: 15cm long, 10cm wide, 5.2cm high
