A Cambodian Ivory Chess Set, 17th/18th century
one side with a slightly darker ‘toffee’ patintation, knights as arched horse’s heads with stylised manes and carved geometric decoration, pawns as shells, one side with mottled brown and cream shells, the other side with plain shells
King: 5.3cm high
Knight: 6.2cm high
Pawn: 2.6cm long
