Good. All the brass mounts present and intact. Very slight bowing to the top of the wooden cases. Bone tiles complete but slightly yellowed in places, with graduations to the bone visible.
Comes with an oblong dice box (with sliding lid) and a variation on the standard Ming pot- in this case two reversible bone wind discs kept in a bakelite holder.
A Note From Luke
Alternative version of a typical mahong set, as produced in the workshops of Shanghai in the 1920s. The sliding front reveals two drawers- a slimmer drawer for the scoring sticks, dice and wind discs, the deeper drawer holding the tiles.
