Good. Some minor brown staining, minor scuffs and firing cracks. Glaze abrasions to rim. No restoration. Transfer print is an inky-purple-dark grey colour.
A Note From Luke
Unusual and delightful Copeland & Garrett (circa 1833-1847) transfer decorated platter on a racing theme. The platter shows four horses galloping towards a winning post. The scene is probably an imaginary depiction, but the steward's box and post look very similar to the winning post of the Epsom Derby.
