the chessmen with green baizes to the underside of the bases, the carved knights 'ebonised', nice figuring, patina and finish to the boxwood side, in a lidded mahogany box, lined with green baize and a brass hook clasp.

King: 10cm high (4 inches).

Pawn: 5.1cm high.

Box: 21.5cm x 13.7cm x 8.9cm.

Condition: Nice figuring to the boxwood, some natural flaws to the boxwood, green baizes good (one baize with slight loss to edge), the green baize to the box re-lined. A very nice chess set. Recommended.
