A good Anglo-Indian Export ivory chess set, Vizagapatam or Berhampur, 19th century

one side stained green, the other side left natural, kings and queens with extensive foliate decoration, bishops as flaming mitres, knights as horses’ heads, rooks as turrets with flags, pawns with foliate decoration, all the chessmen with leaf-decoration to the bases, the king 11cm high, the pawn 6cm high, in a 20th century presentation/display case in oak, with a hinged lid, the interior lined in black plush, 44cm wide, 8cm high (when closed), 34cm deep.
