A charming naive watercolour study of an infantry officer, first quarter of the 19th century 

black shako and tunic, shoulder pompoms and snake-buckle belt, paper laid on card, 15cm x 10.2cm in an early 19th century gesso and gilt frame with egg and dart borders, 22cm x 17.5cm.
