the khaki canvas cylinder incorporating two cylindrical 'shakers' in red leather, sliding out to reveal a rolled leather chess board with black and red squares in gilt, and a red leather and gilt cylinder including a set of boxwood and ebony gaming counters for chess and backgammon and two dice, stamped: "PORTABLE B. C. D. BOARD...JAQUES PATENTEE LONDON"
