A magnificent and substantial English antique chess board of large size, 19th century

the alternate chess squares in rosewood and satin-birch within a thick rosewood border, mounted with ivory scoring peg-holes, the back-panel in mahogany, 60cm wide, each chess square 6.9cm wide.
