A Mongolian carved wooden figural chess set, circa 1900
one side predominantly red with yellow painted highlights, the other side predominantly green with yellow painted highlights, kings as local leaders, queens as tigers, bishops as two humped camels, knights as horses, rooks as juggernauts, pawns as dogs, the king 5cm high, the pawn 2.5cm high.
