"The Game of War", a British Army wargame, manufactured for HM Goverment by V & J Figgins, circa 1890, in a mahogany box, the white metal "type" representing the infantry, cavalry, mounted infantry, horse artillery, trains, pontoon, engineers, telegraph troops and skirmishers, one side in blue, the other side in red; two inset wooden trays, two ivory rulers, two ivory measuring squares, steel callipers, two metal pace measures, two metal nippers, pegged scoring table, nine bone pegs stained red, two stained yellow and ten stained blue, manufactured for HM. Government by V & J Figgins, Type Founders, Ray Street, Farringdon Road, London EC, the box 31cm wide, sold with a facsimile 19th century Ordnace Survey Map of Yorkshire.
