a-jaques-staunton-chess-set-circa-1890

Chess set generally ‘Very Good’; one white pawn has a natural flaw to the wood, green baizes ‘consistent’, minor hairline crack to one black pawn, otherwise no obvious problems.

Mahogany box, ‘good’ to ‘very good’, with the usual scuffs and scratches. Although the box is late 19th century, please note that the green label is a modern reproduction copy of an original Jaques label.
