The chess set is weighted and has a very nice feel. There is some wear and rubbing to the green baize on the undersides. A black knight has a chip to the ear. There is a chip to a black rook base. The box has an age crack across the top of the lid. The Jaques green label has been removed and there are traces of green paper remaining. The brass inset roundel on the top of the lid has been replaced with 'ivorine'.
